Casa Nuah

Located in Kerobokan, the heart of South Bali, Casa Nuah is a slow-living holiday home, just a short drive from all the main hotspots, but still secluded and rich in local culture.

Designed and owned by Boir studio, with its open living space resembling the traditional Balinese way of living, surrounded with three ensuite rooms, tropical landscaping, a “jungle” bathtub and a pool, the house is an oasis for travellers looking for a slow living holiday home.

Nuah meaning the absence of activity and allowing someone to be at rest, with its simple and minimal approach to design, the house resembles a sanctuary where its visitors retreat from the vivid Bali experience into a calm space, allowing the impressions to settle.

The architecture is inspired by the traditional way of building, keeping the original Balinese roof and embracing the open house lifestyle, minimising it by using simple and clean lines.

The lush tropical vegetation is the heart of the house and the design follows its flow. Most of the furniture was produced in collaboration with local artisans, using Boir’s studio custom designs, complemented with a few antique Balinese pieces and details.
